A painting by my late father, James Field. He was an artist and illustrator with a passion for history. Below is the accompanying text he wrote at the time:

Who wouldn’t want to be in von Richthofen’s slip stream? Leading the assault is the man himself, followed by Karl Allmenroeder. Immediately behind is von Richthofen’s brother Leutnant Lothar von Richthofen, who was known to dislike the DIII.
