A painting by my late father, James Field. He was an artist and illustrator with a passion for history and wildlife. Below is the accompanying text he wrote at the time:
One of the later Prosauropods, Anchisaurus (close-reptile) is from the Early Jurassic and is seen here approaching a river in a ‘savannah’ of ferns and occasional conifers. A small flock of Rhamphorhynchus (beak-nose) fly past on their route up river.
