A painting by my late father, James Field. He was an artist and illustrator with a passion for history and wildlife. Below is the accompanying text he wrote at the time:
At the edge of a clearing in the late Jurassic of North America a small herd of Camptosaurus (flexible-reptile) warily pass through the under story of ferns, cycads and bennettitales. On the far side of the clearing, in the early morning mist, two Brachiosaurus (arm-reptile) feed on the towering conifer forest.
