James Field's Hypsilophodon

Copied

A painting by my late father, James Field. He was an artist and illustrator with a passion for history and wildlife. Below is the accompanying text he wrote at the time:

A group of small but swift Hypsilophodon (high-ridge-tooth) cross a shallow river in what will become Western Europe. These Early Cretaceous herbivores may well have lived in herds as over twenty separate individuals have been found at the same cliff site on the Isle of Wight, England.
