A painting by my late father, James Field. He was an artist and illustrator with a passion for history and wildlife. Below is the accompanying text he wrote at the time:
A herd of Diplodocus travel through a clearing in the forest, the ground is clear of vegetation possibly caused by many generations of sauropod feet. The Late Jurassic of North America must have been a very green and luxuriant land as there were several species of sauropod sharing this habitat along with other smaller herbivores.
