A painting by my late father, James Field. He was an artist and illustrator with a passion for history and wildlife. Below is the accompanying text he wrote at the time:
This scene is based on the fossils of the Aguja Formation in Texas, from the late Cretaceous. The herd of Agujaceratops (Aguja-horned-face) crossing the river, are members of the Triceratops family of horned Dinosaurs. Their crossing is made more perilous by the presence of the enormous Deinosuchus crocodiles.
